2023 BSPOA Annual Members Meeting

The 2023 BSPOA Annual Meeting will be on Saturday, September 2nd at 10:00 am at the Trout Lake Township Hall.  Member packets for the meeting will be sent out via US Mail or E-mail in early August.  If you have any questions or comments, you can email the Board here.

How to Join the BSPOA Board of Directors

New members to the Birch Shores Property Owners’ Association Board of Directors are elected each year at the Annual Members’ Meeting.  Board Members are elected for 2 year terms and no person may serve more than 3 terms on the Board.  The election for Board seats are staggered so that at least one seat is up for election every year.  If you are interested in learning more about serving on the BSPOA Board please contact any of the current Board members.  If you would like to run for a Board seat please contact one of the current Board members no later than July 20th each year.

Road Usage

We have received numerous complaints from property owners about people driving at speeds far in excess of our 25 mph limit.  Speeding in Birch Shores both creates a safety hazard for people walking along the road as well as degrading the road such that costly repair and maintenance must be done more frequently.  Likewise, we have seen a number of ATVs and Side by Sides speeding around the roads this Summer, weaving back and forth, doing doughnuts and otherwise tearing up the roads.  These activities leave ruts in the road that turn into potholes and once again require costly repair and maintenance.  Our roads are not trails, please do not treat them as such.  We urge all property owners to ensure that they, their family members and guests drive safely and within the speed limit on all roads in Birch Shores.
